Sustainable Heating
MJ Construction specialise in sustainable heating, we supply and install Ground Source, Air Source and Hybrid heat pump systems.
With a strong interest in sustainable methods and giving back to the environment, we continually research the latest product developments to ensure we remain up to date with industry advances. We work closely with a range of manufacturers to source the best products which include Hitachi, Daikin, Viessmann, Samsung, Vaillant, CTC NIBE and Ecoforest. We can also work with an existing system to integrate air source to work through a hybrid heat pump.
We offer advice to ensure we meet the right solution to your requirements and in turn design, supply and install an efficient package.
Ground Source Heat Pumps
Ground source heat pumps utilise the natural heat stored in the ground or underwater. This is achieved by pumping cold fluid via an underground loop of pipes which extracts the energy (heat) from the ground. Following this a compressor turns low grade heat into high grade heat which is what is suitable for residential use e.g. heating / hot water systems.
The system should produce around four times as much heat than that it requires in electrical energy which compared to gas or LPG, oil etc substantial reductions can be achieved.
Air Source Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps or otherwise known as air-to-water will lower fuel bills and reduce environmental impact compared to a fossil fuel equivalent. The key is in the specification of both the heat pump and the associated heating systems.
Air source heat pump installation requires no digging or drilling, few plumbing connections are used during installation. The pumps operate in temperatures as low as -15°C making them a financially effective option for those running off mains gas.
Hybrid Heat Pump
We can access if your existing heating system would be compatible with a hybrid heat pump system. A hybrid pump system combines renewable heating such as Air Source or Ground Source Heat pumps with a traditional boiler.
Hybrid Heat pump controllers allows smart programming which will save more energy than a traditional system by determining the most economically and energy efficient combination based on, outdoor temperatures and indoor heat capacity.
The key to successful sustainable heating is all in the specification and solution required, get in touch to discuss. We offer a free consultation to discuss your requirements and talk through possible options.
